Travel to the Conference Venue The nearest airports are München (Germany), which is very well conncected nationally and internationally, and Salzburg (Austria).
The nearest railway station is Prien am Chiemsee, which is about one hour by fast train from München or Salzburg. There are regular boats from Prien to Fraueninsel. The schedule can be found here.

Hygiene Measures The current rules applying when entering Germany from abroad can be found here. The local regulations in Germany depend on the state you are in. The conference takes place in Bavaria. A website in German with the current measures in Bavaria can be found here. Most importantly, participation in the conference will only be possible for people fully vaccinated (European standard, proof needed) or recovered (proof needed), or on basis of a negative and certified test result, which will have to be renewed regularly (antigen tests valid for 24 hours and PCR tests valid for 72 hours). Information in German on test centers in Prien am Chiemsee are available here. It is further required to wear medical masks when using public transport or when being inside of a building, with the exception of eating at a restaurant or having an assigned place (like a desk or seat) at which distance can be guaranteed.
Please do not hesitate to contact the organisers in advance if you have any questions.

Sightseeing Lake Chiemsee is a large lake close to the northern side of the Alps and there is a variety of interesting excursions to be done before, after or even during the conference. The nearby Chiemgau Alps reach an elevation of almost 2000 meters, the lake Chiemsee is up to 73 meters deep.
You can find some touristic information for instance on the following websites Chiemsee-Alpenland-Tourismus (in German) or a flyer (Italian, English, German) or Bavaria tourism (in English).
