Leandro Vendramin (Buenos Aires),
The combinatorics of the Yang-Baxter equation.
Abstract:
The Yang-Baxter equation is an important tool in theoretical physics
and pure mathematics, with many applications in different domains
going from string theory to topology. The importance of this equation
led Drinfeld to propose the following problem: studying
set-theoretical solutions. In this talk we will review the basic
theory of this family of solutions, we will discuss some problems and
we will give some applications.
