Steffen Oppermann (NTNU Trondheim), Cyclic polytopes and higher dimensional
analogues of cluster categories.
Abstract:
The simplest cluster algebras, those of type A, can be understood both
through a simple combinatorial model in terms of triangulations of a
polygon, and also via the now-classical cluster category of
Buan-Marsh-Reineke-Reiten-Todorov.
I will illustrate both approaches, and indicate how they are interconnected.
Then I will report on work with H. Thomas, in which we study higher
dimensional analogs. We will see that various aspects of the classical setup
generalize to this higher dimensional one.
