Carlo Klapproth, On maximal n-exact structures.
Abstract:
In 2014 Gustavo Jasso introduced n-abelian and n-exact categories
which generalize abelian and exact categories in the sense they are equipped
with a nice collection of n-term sequences which replace short exact
sequences. These categories given an abstract axiomatic framework to
structures naturally found on n-cluster-tilting categories which arise in
algebraic geometry. We want to give a short introduction to n-exact
categories, explain that every (idempotent complete) additive category has a
unique maximal n-exact structure and give new examples of n-exact categories
arising in algebraic geometry. This is based on current work in progress.
