Symmetric Hochschild extension algebras and the normalization of 2-cocycles

Abstract:
In 1999, Y. Ohnuki, K. Takeda and K. Yamagata gave a sufficient condition related to 2-cocycles for Hochschild extension algebras to be symmetric. In this talk, for bound quiver algebras, we give another sufficient condition related to 2-cocycles for Hochschild extension algebras to be symmetric. Our result generalize their result for bound quiver algebras. In order to show that, we introduce the normalized 2-cocycles related to a complete set of primitive orthogonal idempotents, and we show that for every 2-cocycle there exists a normalized 2-cocycle as above such that their cohomology classes coincide.
