Vladimir Dotsenko (Strasbourg), Diamond Lemma and the Maurer-Cartan equation

Abstract:
I shall outline a new approach to Bergman's Diamond Lemma for rewriting systems / Gröbner bases; more specifically, I shall explain how the Maurer-Cartan equation in the tangent complex of a monomial algebra leads to many different versions of the Diamond Lemma, one for each representative of the tangent complex arising from a multigraded resolution of such algebra.
