Abstract:

Reedy categories form a generalization of the category of finite ordinals and weakly monotone maps between them. In this talk, we will introduce the class of Reedy finite dimensional algebras which form a ring-theoretic analogue of Reedy categories. The first result we will present states that Reedy algebras are quasi-hereditary. We will then give some characterizations of Reedy algebras. This is based on two ongoing works, one is joint with Jan Stovicek and the other with Teresa Conde and Steffen Koenig.
