Constructing an Affine Partition Category
Abstract:
In this talk we discuss three diagrammatic categories, some of
their defining features, and their relation to one another. We begin by
defining the partition category and detailing its origins in Schur-Weyl
duality. We then describe the construction of the affine partition category,
and present some of its core properties. Lastly, we conclude with the
Heisenberg category and its connection with both the partition and affine
partition categories.
