Isaac Bird (Charles University, Prague), Bounding pure
homological dimension and Brown-Adams representability.
Abstract:
I will discuss change of categories isomorphisms for pure
homological dimensions and demonstrate how this can be used to bound the
pure global dimension of a triangulated category. In particular I will show
how the pure global dimension of the derived category of any ring is at
least the pure global dimension of the ring, generalising results or Keller,
Christensen and Neeman. I will then describe some conclusions about when the
derived category satisfies Brown-Adams representability.
